Every year Michael and I take a vacation without Olive to LA and Palm Springs. For us, going to sunny and friendly California is the ultimate vacation from dirty, standoffish New York. We can't help but smile and feel happy as soon as we get off the plane! :) In LA we stay at the Viceroy in Santa Monica, which has the best decor, in house restaurant, and is in very close proximity to the beach, the Pier as well as Venice. In Palm Springs we ADORE Korakia, a very romantic and beautiful Mediterranean/Moroccan pension. In Palm Springs we tour the modern houses on bike, lounge by and in the pool, and get lost in The Parker gardens. I already can't wait to go back next year!
